This is my little corner of the internet. It’s a place for me to reflect on my life. Here I will give you a glimpse into my daily working life as an artist. I hope to document things that inspire me, my processes and why I do what I do.

My three greatest achievements are here:

My two boys, Carl and Ryan.
My two boys, Carl and Ryan…..and my daughter Erin.

A little bit about me:
I have three passions in my life: my family, painting and animals. I am lost without my brushes and paint. I live to paint. I have been an artist all my life and art was undoubtedly my favourite subject at school. I taught adult acrylic painting classes for 14 years and I have had many of my paintings featured in Australian Art and Craft magazines. However after 14 years I grew tired of using acrylic paint so I put my brushes away for four years while I completed a teaching degree at university.
When I finished my degree I didn’t realise how difficult it would be to secure a permanent teaching position. I had to make do with relief teaching for many years. I waited each morning for the phone to ring hoping that a teacher would be ill and I would step into their classroom for the day. To occupy myself in between teaching days I decided to try my hand at watercolour painting. It was something I had tried in the past but had never had any success with.
I am so pleased that I did try again. I painted day and night and produced a new painting each day. I was learning something new with each painting. I started with small A5 watercolour paper then I moved to A4 size paper. Now I have progressed to painting on full sheets.
I love the unpredictable nature of watercolour. I love the vibrance of the hues and I thrive on the challenge that each painting brings. Sometimes I master it and at other times I don’t.

My paintings and prints can be found in private collections all around the world.

I sell much of my work on Etsy
and here on my website.
